The Villa

“TheVilla” faces the sea from an high ground as Ligea, the siren who scanned the deep blue of the Mediterranean up to the horizon to safeguard sailors.

Villa Ligea is located in one of the most beautiful and elegant parts of Positano, the small town on the Amalfi Coast known around the world for its singular beauty.
The villa is a typical Positano construction, in which the influence of Byzantine architecture merges perfectly with the skills of local master-builders.
Arches, vaults and niches are embellished with majolica tiles the colour of the azure sky.
The view from the wide balconies and verandas perched high above the multicoloured sea is breathtaking.  In front of the villa, I Galli, the Siren Islands; to the right, romantic Positano.

The villa has two storeys and is surrounded by gardens and terraces.
The sitting room is spacious and airy, has a wide terrace and is furnished with comfortable sofas, a large dining table, wide-screen LCD television with Bose acoustics, satellite system and DVD player.
The Internet connection is wireless so that our guests can connect easily from anywhere in the villa or the garden.
The kitchen adjacent to the sitting room is professionally equipped with everything required for fine cooking.  A cook may be requested for the entire day or for special events.
The five bedrooms are each uniquely furnished in Mediterranean style and have either double or twin beds.  Each has a balcony facing the sea.  All the bedrooms have bathrooms, roomy showers or hydro-massage tubs, safes, independent air-conditioning and mosquito netting.
We have chosen not to place televisions in the bedrooms.  The view is simply too beautiful... we feel that that it is undoubtedly preferable to let oneself be carried away by the sighing of the sea or the sound of personally-chosen music rather than be distracted by the two-dimensional images of television.

There is an outdoor hydro-massage pool and, in one part of the garden, a solarium and barbecue is set up.

The beach below the villa, which can be reached in just a few minutes, has a typical lido, where you can enjoy freshly-prepared food and enjoy a wonderful swim.
The centre of Positano is only 1 km away and can be easily reached by car, bus, taxi or after a pleasant walk of approximately 10 minutes.

Manuela and Roberto, who speak both English and Italian, will welcome you to the villa, and will be happy to provide you with any suggestions or information you may require to make your stay in Positano pleasant and enjoyable.
